Do not overwhelm them with sales pitches let that are a secondary message. Make them feel like you really care about their satisfaction with your product.
4. Build “ we are the same family “ feelings
All customers want to feel that they somehow “ belong to the family “ i.e. places where they have been shopping. This is called “ club effect “. The webmaster does wisely if he´ll keep contact with his customers regularly.
A good way is to send information of new products, which are offered first to the loyal customers with small discount.
