3. Convenient. Antivirus software attitude should be convenient enough that you don't have to devote half your day scanning for viruses. Most software packages have means through which they can scan in the background so that they do not disturb you while you are working. Also they have scheduling capabilities so that they run whenever you are not using your computer actively.
The software packages should also run quick enough so that they are able to anticipate and prevent the further spread of malicious software.
4. Be a friend. Lastly be a friend and help your antivirus keep your computer free from these irritating malicious softwares. The best way to do this is to make sure your computer does not get in touch with software which does not come from trusted sources.
Beware of web sites that are of dubious content that constancy percent pop-ups urging you to press the yes button. Make sure you scan all removable hardware for viruses before you use them.
