.: Is The Next Airplane Ride You Take Going To Outer Space?

Predictions have been made in the past that someday, there will be civilian transportation to and from space. Some say that this dream may be on the horizon, and there will be hotels in space. Certain problems do arise, however, when contemplating how to get people to and from this space vacation, as well as problems such as where to put the hotels.

One of the first things that scientists or others looking into making space vacationing at hotels feasible, is the problem of building a transportation device that is capable of being reused multiple times. Even if they were able to construct the hotels in space, they’d be no good if there was no way of getting business to and from the destination and home again safely. Another problem is that the cost of the space for the hotels would not be cheap. And there would be no money to do such a thing until there was a market for space vacations, but no market until there was somewhere solid and safe to go. That creates quite the dilemma. The interest is there however. It would only take a few positive, wealthy entrepreneurs willing to invest in such an idea, and it could quite possibly be done.

The visionaries of such a project say that there would be certain elements of these hotels that would still have Earth like gravity qualities. It’d be hard to get people there if you couldn’t flush a toilet or take a shower. But if you’re one of those people who likes to take in the whole experience, don’t worry, there will be non-gravity facilities for you to use so you can really get a feel for every aspect of the whole experience.

With potential planning already underway and future ideas formulating and popping up amongst all of the brain-storming, it’s likely that someday the space vacation will be a reality: Pricey, yes, but there none-the-less. As part of the space hotel, it is also suggested that part of the hotel be a space for research and other space related findings and investigations. This way funding could be more feasible, and affordable not only for the hotel building and travelers, but for the advancements of our knowledge of space, and possible planets.
