.: Ringtone Madness!
Category:Home / Technology / Cell Phones
What is your ringtone? Is it Reggae, rock and roll, or hip-hop? Or is it voice-over using your own or other people’s voices? The cool thing about ringtones is that everyone can have a unique ring to their phone.
They have a practical use as well. With so many different ringtones, a cell phone can ring without everyone in the room checking to see if it was their cell phone or not. But who cares about the practical reason? Ring Tones are fun!
I wonder why I haven’t heard many ringtones in movies? Surely Hollywood has caught onto the ringtone craze. But I can’t name a movie right now where any of the actors had a cool ringtone. Can you? It’s just a matter of time I think.
Have you noticed how many different sounding ring tones are available out there? Some of them are really obnoxious, you hold your breath until they answer it and put an end to the music that is filling your space.
You unintentionally form an opinion about their music tastes and more! Others are really simple or maybe even boring. It might just be a regular phone ringing sound. No…not for me!
Some of them sound like movie themes and you want to figure out which movie it’s from. Or maybe you’ll see a senior citizen’s phone ring and it will be rock and roll. Yo Mama!
When some of them ring, it’s depressing when they need to answer their phone, you just want to keep on listening to the song! Hey you…turn it up! Those ring tones sometimes seem to define who the person is and what kind of music they like.
You could be sitting in a quiet meeting at work, all of a sudden a reggae song starts…oops it’s yours! As you turn shades of red and quickly turn off the loud sound, and quickly apologize to everyone. All of a sudden the topic turns to the boss talking about his tropical vacation he just came back from…whew!
If you’re single, you might be out for dinner with your friends and hear the best song you’ve ever heard. Quickly you turn to find another single person that isn’t usually your type…but all of a sudden you think, hey they can’t be all that bad, I love that song! (Okay, so you haven’t had a date in awhile).
We have something in common in music, and I think I’ll compliment on how much I like that song and get a good conversation going. Wait…your phone just rang…then while answering it, you look back and get a disgusted look, your potential future date just turned away, oh well…until next ringtone.
But seriously, there are a number of very great options for ringtones available and a really helpful place to find some honest tips about phones, ringtones and reviews are at: http://www.theringtoneforum.com
