1). HPV VirusHuman Papilloma Ciruses (HPV) is a virus that infects humans. Some of the effects of the virus are associated with sexually transmitted diseases (STD's).
Over one hundred strains of the virus have been identified by Scientists. Most of these strains are harmless. Some of these strains can produce common skin warts which appear on the hands and feet.
2). Hansens Lepresy
Since the beginning of time, Hansen's disease has been recognized as a problem. Reported in Egypt in as early as 1350 BC, Lepresy is the oldest disease known to man; this is according to the Guinness World Records. Frequently, Lepers have lived outside of society. This is partly due to the fact that for a long time the disease was believed to have been caused by a divine, often times associated with demons, curse or punishment.
3). I am a mouth ulcers
Although it's not my favorite thing to be in the world, I am a mouth ulcer. My street name is most commonly: canker sore. I've got a fancy name, and that involves painful open sores that will exist in your mouth when the mucous membrane breaks. You might also choose to call me one of these other names: aphthous stomatitis or aphthous ulcer. Now that we have that out of the way.
4). Love and Life Lessons
Recent events in my life have taught me that the best thing to do in any situation is just to love people. How can I be a better friend, a better Son, Brother or Sister,etc. So often we go through life and we don't really take the time to just simply love people.
For example I hop on a bus, I've got all this time to take interest in other people, en yet I just sit to myself, and pass the time, just wondering what others are up to.
5). Pertussis or Whooping Cough
Whooping cough a.k.a(also known as) Pertussis is a highly contagious disease. Whooping cough is one of the leading causes of vaccine-preventable deaths. There are 30 to 50 million cases of Pertussis per year. Of these millions of cases there is about three hundred thousand deaths each year. Basically all of these deaths occur in children under twelve months of age.
6). I am Motor Neurone
I am Motor neurone disease, you might also know me as progressive muscular atrophy, or progressive bulbar palsy, or and primary lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease; All the while I just prefer being called MND for short.
All these fancy names and all you want to know is if you have me or not. Read on. Usually I, motor neurone disease, exist in those individuals that are between the ages of 40-70, with my average being a respectable 55.
7). Gilles Tourette syndrome
Tourette syndrome, aka Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, is a neurological or neurochemical disorder that can be characterized by tics. Tics are involuntary, rapid, sudden movements or vocalizations that occur repeatedly in the same way. Symptoms to Tourette's include multiple motor and often times several vocal tics present at some time during the disorder.
8). Holistic Holism
The root for the word Holism goes back to Early Greek, meaning that 'properties of a system cannot be determined or explained by the sum of its components alone'. First coined as a word by Jan Smuts in about 1922, and used to define "The tendency in nature to form wholes that are greater than the sum of the parts through creative evolution." Often times described as the opposite of reductionism, holism may also be contrasted with atomism.
9). Ayurvedic Medicine System
Ayurveda medicine is a very comprehensive medicine system that is more that 5,000 years old, that is based on a holistic medicine approach that has its roots in Vedic Culture. Inside the word Ayurveda you will see the word "veda", which means knowledge, tells us it's important role in ancient hinduism. Charaka Samhita and the Sushruta Samhita are two early texts of Ayurveda.
10). Opacity Cataracts
A cataract is "any opacity which develops in the crystalline lens of the eye or in its envelope". Cataracts develop for a variety of reasons, with the most common factor being the long-term exposure to ultraviolet light. Cataracts can also develop from advanced age or secondary effects of diseases such as diabetes.
Usually a result of denaturation.
11). Acne, Puberty and Girlfriends
An inflammatory disease of the skin, acne, comes about due to changes in the skin structure, that consisty of hair follicle and their sebaceous glands. Commong during puberty, acne, is the bodies response to changing testosterone hormones. Because of the randomness of the bodies response, acne for most people will come and go, and in most cases will completely dissappear over time.
12). Disturbed memory Amnesia
Amnesia, is a condition where mrmory is disturbed. Amnesia affects both organic and functional causes. An example of an organic cause of amnesia is damage to the brain, through trauma or disease. Where as an example of a functional cause involve physcholigical elements such as the defense mechanisms. There is several different types of amnesia which I have broken down below:
Lacunar amnesia
Lacunar amnesia relates directly the loss of memory on one specific event.
13). Skin Scabies
Scabies, a transmissible ectoparasite skin infection, is characterized by superficial burrows, secondary infection and intense itching. This makes good sense as the actual word 'scabies' is Latin for 'itch'.
Unlike alot of different infections and diseases the cause of scabies is actually known. Caused by the mite, variety hominis, it intensifies which results in extremely itchy skin that rashes.
14). Stuttering Disorder
Stuttering, scientifically known as stammering is a speech disorder in which the normal flow of speech is frequently disrupted by repetitions of sounds, syllables, words or phrases, pauses and prolongations that differ both in frequency and severity from those of a normally fluent speaker.
The term stuttering is most often associated with involuntary sound repetition.
15). Hand Constitution
Where the appendage terminates, the hand begins. This portion of the arm on both humans and other primates is what seperates us from several other species, due to our ability to hold onto objects, etc. Several other animals have orfices that are similar to a hand, i.e. that allow them to grasp onto things, some that are even very similar to our hands, they are not scientifically considered to be so.
16). Condyloma aka Genital warts
Genital warts is a very contagious disease that is sexually transmitted. The disease is caused by various variants of the Human papillomavirus. Usuall these are the HPV 6 and the HPV 11. it is spread during oral, genital, or anal sex with someone who is infected with the virus. Approximately two-thirds of people who have anyone single sexual contact with someone who is infected with genital warts will develop warts.
17). Worms: Elongated
A worm is an "elongated" invertebrate soft-bodied animal. The most widely known of all worms is the earthworm. The earthworm is a member of phylum Annelida. A side from that famous worm there are hundreds of thousands of different species of worms that live in a huge array of differet habitats.

18). The Really Great Depression
For almost 10 years, from 1929 to the late into the 1930's the word went into a massive economic decline. The entire world was hit with the decline, however the most industrialized nations were hit the hardest. These nations included the United States, Europe and Japan. Due to the nature of the depression economies that were built around industry were hit the hardest.
19). Clothing Article Bracelets
Bracelets are an article of clothing or of jewelry which are worn around one's wrist. Often times bracelets are made from cloth or metal, and sometimes even of rocks, wood, and even precious materials. Almost everyone will have worn a bracelet at some time in their life.
Often times we even wear bracelets without even thinking about it. An easy example of this is a for medical and identification purposes, such as name tags, and health conditions in a hospital.

Battletoads is a video came franchise that first relased in 1991. The first game titled "Battletoads", was a 2D Smash 'em up style video game from Rare Ltd. At it's release it was one of the most advanced video games to ever be released graphically. Such a success that the game was even turned into an arcade machine in 1994 in association with Electronic Arts.
21). American Civil War
The American Civil War took place in 1861 to 1865 in the southern United States; also in eastern, central and southwestern regions. The outcome of this bloody civil battle was the defeat of the seceding CSA. The primary leaders in the War were the well known Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Both of these men were corageous leaders, and huge names of their time, as well as ours.
22). Cholesterol Gallstones
Gallsontes are crystalline bodies that are formed inside of the body by accretion ("growth or increase in size by gradual external addition") or concretion ("a spherical or ellipsoidal nodule formed by accumulation of mineral matter after deposition of sediment") of normal and abnormal bile components.
The largest single makeup of gallstones are cholesterol stones, which are generally green, but have been found to be white/yellow in color.
23). Discomforting heart burn
Heart burn is what we call the discomfort/pain that is caused by the contents of the stomach as they travel up into the lower part of the esophagus, also known as the gullet. The burning sensation that is felt is due to the acidic nature of the contents of our stomach, which the gullet is not meant to withstand.
The presence of the acid in the gullet causes it to become irritated and imflamed.

Sound in brief but remarkeable terms is a vibration, that our ears percieve by the sense of hearing. Most commonly vibrations travel to our ears via the air. The ear then converts these sound waves into nerve impulses that are sent to our brains, where the impulses become sound. To say all that in a more technical language: Sound "is an alternation in pressure, particle displacement, or particle velocity propagated in an elastic material" (Olson 1957).
25). What is a desert
A desert is a landscape region that receives very little precipitation. For a peice of land to be classified as a desert it must receive less than 250 mm of precipitation per year. Because of such a low level of precipitation deserts are known for supporting very little forms of life. With that said though, with a closer look deserts still have a wide variety of life.

27). Thursday Rock
Thursday, a post-hardcore band, is from New Brunswick, New Jersey. The band formed in 1997. Their first full-length album was released in 1999 with a New Jersey based company called indie Eyeball Records. Thursday is known for their notable advancements of artistic nature; many of the bands songs are as a result of books, real world events, and art of various forms.
28). Pegs not be Constipated
Constipation in some ways has become the front of many jokes, but in reality it is more serious than that. Consitipation can be extremely painful, and in some cases can result in bowel obstruction, which is not something that anyone wants to get into it. Still laughing?
For a quick definition: "Constipation is a condition of the digestive system where a person (or other animal) experiences hard feces that is difficult to eliminate"
In most cases treatment is done by simply changing the dietary habits of the individual who is affected.
29). Sepsis Food Poisoning
Food poisoning is a sepsis(The presence of harmful microorganisms or associated toxins in the blood and tissues), that is caused by consuming foods that are contaminated with pathogenic bacteria, toxins, viruses, prions or parasites. These contaminations are normally as a result of improper handling, storage or preparation of food. Pesticides added to food can also add in the likelyhood of consumption of the viruses.
30). H5N1 Bird Flu
Bird flu is the street name for the Influenza A virus, which is the virus that causes Avian flu. The name says it all, as Bird flu is a virus that is hosted by birds. With that said though it may infect several other species of mammals. First identified in Italy in around 1905 the virus is now known to exist worldwide. One strain of the H5N1 virus of avian influenza that first surfaced in 1997 has been identified as the most likely source of a future influenza pandemic around the world.
31). Hollywood Anorexia Nervosa
Anorexia Nervosa is probably more common in today's 'media' focused era more than it ever has been before. Anorexia Nervosa is a very complex eating disorder/disease that involves both psychological and sociological components which result in the voluntary starvation and exercise stress by an individual.
Anorexia Nervosa: "A psychophysiological disorder usually occurring in young women that is characterized by an abnormal fear of becoming obese, a distorted self-image, a persistent unwillingness to eat, and severe weight loss.
32). Highly Contagious Smallpox
Smallpox, a highly contagious disease, is unique only to humans. The smallpox virus is caused by two virus variants called Variola major and Variola minor. Variola major is the more deadly form of the virus; it usually has a mortality rte of 20-40 percent of those that are infected with the virus. Variola minor on the other hand is much less severe and only kills 1% of its victims.
33). Optical Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that are characterized by pressure that is too high for the optic nerve to withstand. The optic nerve is crucial in sight, as it is the nerve that sends all of the images created by the eye to the brain. Given it's cruciality, damage to the nerve from glaucoma results first the loss of peripheral vision, and then central vision.

With the wide range of opportunity available to obtain an online degree, it almost doesn't make sense to go to a university or college. Of course online courses will never be able to match the full immersion that an actual insitution can offer, but for someone who is working, or tied down with other commitments, it can open doors that where closed before.
35). Trying to define criminal law
We hear about law everyday whether we realize it or not. It's in our Government, in our work, and even in our houses. One type of law is Criminal law, which is also known as Penal law. This is "The body of statutory and common law that deals with crime and the legal punishment of criminal offenses."
Inside of criminal law there is four major theories of criminal justice:
- Punishment
- Deterrence
- Incapacitation
- Rehabilitation
This form of law is essential in many cases because it can distinguis between crimes from civil wrongs.
36). Wrinkles that fold and age
With the media shoved in our face everywhere that we go, our visual appearance has become a huge part in our every day lives. Whether it is tanning, hair coloring, plastic surgery, or "Anti-aging cream", we can see the dominance of image in our society. Everyone wants to look young, healthy, and like Brad Pitt, Right?
As a result of this pressure on image, Anti-aging creams are a heavily marketed and advertised product, promising to deliver healthier and younger looking skin, while reducing wrinkles.

Afghanistan is a country located in Central Asia. Afghanistan is often considered to be part of the Middle East due to its location on the Iranian plateau. 38). I am Multiple Sclerosis
Hi, my name is Multiple Sclerosis. You know me as a chronic disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. I don't really like that name or title so lets stick with MS for short.
I can cause a variety of symptoms, which include:
- Changes in sensation
- Visual problems
- Weakness
- Depression
- Difficulties with coordination
- Difficulties with speech
Several people that I affect will lead full and often times even use the "R word" (Rewarding) lives.
39). I have a migraine headache
I've been around several people that use the word Migraine, when they talk about having a headeache. Do these people actually have migraines? What is a migraine, and are there ways to relieve them? These are some of the questions I will answer.
The word "migraine" comes from the Greek word "hemikranion" which translates to "pain affectin one side of the head".

Often times you haven't even done anything to get buggered eyes. By that I mean you haven't actually personally damaged them to the point of needing visual aid. If you're like many you were just born with buggered eyes, and have had to deal with the hassles of glasses or contacts for a time that is too long to remember.

42). Hepatitis A is preventable
Hepatitis A is an enterovirus that is transmitted by a orofecal route. A root such as contaminated food is an easy way for Hep A to be transmitted. The virus causes an acute form of hepatitis and as a result does not contain a permanent stage. Once a person is infected their bodies immune system will make antibodies against the virus that confer immunity against future Hepatitus A infection.

A national anthem in general, is a patriotic musical composition that is recognized formally by a country's government as their country's official national song.
This idea of identy came about during the course of the 19th and 20th centuries, with the rise of the national states. It was at this time when most countries adopted a national anthem, which often times coexisted with other commonly sung patriotic songs.
44). Seeings while affected with blindness
Being blind, is just simply the condition of not having visual perception. Like everything medical, and even today non-medical there is a more 'advanced' definition of blindness. This definition in North America is defined as having 20/200 or less in an individual's best eye after eye correction, such as contact lenses, or glasses. 20/200 means that you would stand 20 ft away from an object and see the same thing as someone with normal eyesight would see from 200ft.
45). Discussions about Birth Control
Birth Control is a controversial issue no matter how looked at, as it is the taking of one or more extra precautions, devices, or most popularly medications that are followed in order to purposely prevent or reduce the likelihood of pregnancy after sexual intercourse. The major controversy here lies I think in the underlying issue of abstinence over sex for pleasure.
46). The Varied Foot
Unlike hands, feet are common among more animals, although they do vary signifcantly among each animal. Most vertebrates (animals that have backbones) have feet that are located at the end of each of their legs. Generally the foot is a complex structure that is made up primarily of bone, muscle and connective tissue. At one point in our lives I'm sure we have seen our feet, or the feet of our household pets which are called paws.
47). My Canada
Canada is the most northernly located country in North America. Canada borders the United States of America to the south and the Artic Ocean to the North. Due to it's extremely northern position Canada is the most northern located country in the world! Being the Second largest country in the world, there is alot of Canada up north. Consisting of ten provinces and three territories, Canada is a country of approximately 32million.
48). Traveling cheap is not worth it
It's human nature to try and cut corners and to take the best deal whenever and whereever possible. I'm sure you've heard the expression: "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is". I don't want to take that expressions directly in context and relate it to travelling because it doesn't directly apply! What I do want to do though is point out that being super budget when you travel doesn't really add up.
49). Tropical Yaws
Yaws, a tropical infection of the skin, bones and joints is usually caused by the bacterium spirochete. Yaws is easily and quickly transmitted by skin contact with infected individuals. The Bacteria enters through an existing cut or similar damage to the skin. Usually less than a month but within ninety days of infection with Yaws a painless but vivid "Parent Yaw", an ulcerous papule appears on the surface of the skin at the point of entry.

With so many different ways today to find information online, it can sometimes be hard to know where to go to first. I want to look at the major and most effective ways to find information online.
The biggest and most commonly used method is to use a search engine such as : Google, Yahoo, or Msn. All three of these search engines offer similar features.
