3). GM Death Watch: It Ain’t Gonna Happen!
I have been enjoying reading the news these past few days, perhaps in a perverse sort of way. Pundits and prognosticators are all forecasting the pending doom of the world’s largest automaker as if the approaching layoffs and restructuring are signaling the venerable automaker’s end. Certainly, GM has some problems – big ones – but the company isn’t likely to go away or even file for bankruptcy.

From the company that produced the Hyundai Sonata comes another vehicle that has been predicted to make waves, which indeed it did. This vehicle is the Daewoo Leganza and it is a midsized sedan that was produced in South Korea. This vehicle lived from 1997 up until 2002 and later on, the Daewoo Magnus came to replace the Daewoo Leganza.
During the time that this vehicle roared and soared on the streets and highways, it held the title as being the small car flagship of Daewoo.

Owning up to an overall length of only 160.4 inches for the hatchback version and only 166.8 inches for the sedan version, the Daewoo Lanos has been considered to be one of the smallest cars in the business. But do not think it is much smaller than one of the smallest cars, the Mini Cooper. The Daewoo Lanos is not that small.
The Daewoo Lanos has actually been crafted in two versions, as mentioned, the hatchback and the sedan.

If you live in North America, you likely are now very familiar with the Hyundai line of vehicles. Back in 1986, the first Hyundai was introduced to the market – an Excel – and the company’s line up has changed dramatically since that time. 8). 8 GM Brands: 1 or 2 Too Many?
Lots of folks are speculating about GM’s future. If you take all the press reports at heart, you would think that General Motors is on life support. Quite frankly, the opposite is true especially when you look at the global picture. In 2005, “the General” sold more than 9 million cars worldwide, the first time the automaker reached that figure since 1978.

9). Brake Calipers, Car Blogs, and You
If you are big fan of the internet, as I am, you likely appreciate having access to much of the information you read online. Where else can you find information that is accurate, easily obtainable, and above all else: free? The library, perhaps. Still, reading some of the car blogs out there can be a risky proposition especially if you are prone to taking everything you read as the “gospel truth.
