2). Hellboy Fails to Deliver the Goods
Comic book films are all the rage these days. Ever since movies like X-Men, Blade and Spider-Man conquered the box office, Hollywood execs have been scrambling to mine the latest hot property from the printed page. When done correctly, these films capture the wonder and imagination of their original source material (which is saying a lot). When they fail, as in the case of movies like Electra and The Incredible Hulk, they become bland exercises in mediocrity - something which the boys in Los Angeles are all too familiar with.

3). Bloody Mallory - A Decidedly Different Horror Flick
Tagline: Evil Has a New Enemy.
When I think of off-the-wall horror/comedy films, rarely do the French spring to mind. But that’s exactly where this guilty pleasure of a movie originates from. Featuring an international cast, Bloody Mallory aims for cult status with an eclectic blend of martial arts, manga attitude, and lots of girls in brightly-colored wigs.

4). Horror Movie Screenplays - 10 Steps To Writing A Horror Script
A horror movie has certain rules. If you break too many the audience will be disappointed.
This is a very short, no fluff, blueprint of how to write a horror script.
1. The Hook. Start with a bang. Step right into a suspense scene. ("Scream" opens with a terrifying sequence with Drew Barrymore on the phone with a killer)
2. The Flaw. Introduce your hero.

5). Meet Kate Bosworth: Superman Returns
There are few more iconic characters in American movie history as Lois Lane, Clark Kent’s sidekick at the Daily Planet, and Superman’s romantic interest. But 23 year old Kate Bosworth’s performance has earned her a number of excellent reviews in the role in the latest film in the Superman series – ‘Superman Returns’.
Bosworth admits that she was unsure if any actor could pull of a convincing Superman/Clark Kent combination – she remembers the original film with great excitement.

6). Woody Allen's "Match Point" (2005)
The very first line I ever heard Woody Allen speak was a joke on the Tonight show concerning theological issues, about how, during a divinity test, he cheated by “looking into the soul of the girl sitting next to me.” I believe that he used a clip from such a stand up routine in one of his films, perhaps Annie Hall. I honestly don’t remember. For decades, Woody has intertwined several basic themes: love and its yearnings.

7). Dawn of the Dead is a Bloody Good Time
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Tagline: “When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.”
I’d like to start this review by committing horror movie blasphemy. Ready? Here goes. George Romero’s original three Dead movies are overrated (I’m not even going to comment on the train wreck which is Land of the Dead). While entertaining, they are also low-budget flicks with average acting and pacing about as slow as the shambling zombies depicted therein.

8). Movie Review - The Long Goodbye is Gould's Finest Moment
Tagline: "Nothing says goodbye like a bullet."
When I hear the name Elliott Gould, the word "tough-guy" doesn’t immediately spring to mind. No, I tend to think of his roles in films like MASH, Ocean’s Eleven and Capricorn One. So imagine my surprise when I learned that he had played the quintessential detective, Philip Marlowe, in the 1973 film entitled The Long Goodbye.

10). The New Era In Movie Rentals
I recall many years ago when people were saying that movies were a thing of the past, that people would be entertained with the internet and video games. Well, not so! In fact, the movie business (including movie rental) is big business and it's not likely to go away anytime soon.
Let's take a look at the two "500 pound guerillas" in the movie rental business: Netflix and Blockbuster.

11). Fujifilm FinePix A303 Digital Camera
Two years ago I purchased my first digital camera. At that time, prices for a 3.0 and higher mega pixel camera were around $350. Since then, as with all electronic gadgets, prices have dropped significantly while the mega pixels have gone up. I chose the Fujifilm's A303 digital camera, which has fared well for me, so permit me the opportunity to tell you why.

The Devil’s Rejects (2005)
Tagline: “A Tale of Murder, Mayhem, and Revenge.”
Sequels are a tricky proposition for most filmmakers. Often, whatever magic existed in the first film is lost by the time the second hits the screen. This is not the case with The Devil’s Rejects, a follow-up to the 2003 low-budget House of 1000 Corpses. Instead of simply.

15). Meet Bryan Singer: Superman Returns
It must have been fate that Bryan Singer would direct the new film Superman Returns, the fifth in the series of Superman films. Singer loved the George Reeves Superman TV series when he was young, and was a huge fan of the Dick Donner-directed films from the 70s and 80s that starred Christopher Reeves as the Man of Steel. “I identify with Superman. I am adopted, I am an only child, and I love the idea that he comes from another world, that he's the ultimate immigrant.
