Wouldn't be great to get other people to promote your products for you? You would be able to take a few weeks off and not notice any significant drop in your sales. What if you could have other people endorse your products to there lists, or to have them place links and banners to your products on their website? Wouldn't that be awesome? What if they didn't ask for ANY payment until after you have made a sale? How cool would that be? You would have zero risk and tremendous potential profits. Well that is exactly what happens in a joint venture!

All you do is contact other website owners in related markets to the products you are selling. Then offer them a commission for each product that they sell. The higher the commission you offer them the more likely they are to accept your offer, so 50% is a good commission to offer. If you can find website owners that have products that complement yours, that's even better. It's a win-win situation for all participants involved.

So how do you find these other website owners? Well do a search on google for terms related to your market. Two very good possible candidates are websites selling products that would complement yours or websites with newsletters in you market. Another place JV partners can be found is in forums or bulletin boards in you target market. You may also want to look on auction websites or classified ads. The possibilities are endless. There are potential JV partners all around you.

When contacting a potential JV partner, make sure you have all the promotional material (e-mails, affiliate links, banners, etc.) ready for them to use. You want it to be as easy as possible for them to participate. I'm sure they are busy with their own business and may not want to put in all the extra effort of making that material. Focus on making them an offer they simply cannot refuse. In the end, you'll both be happy that they decided to work with you.

Joint ventures are one of the most effective ways of making sales for many reasons. First of all, you don't have to do any work! Your partners do the promoting for you. Another reason is that your partners have a lot more pull with their lists than you would. The readers of that list trust the author a lot more than they would a random sales letter because they know that he would not promote the product if it was not a quality one. Therefore, the percentage of people on the list who will buy the product is a lot higher. Third, you don't have to risk any money. You don't pay them unless they make sales. And the more sales they make, the more money BOTH of you make. There's no loser with joint ventures. Go out and find a few JV partners today!
