3). Hostel Movie, A View To The Frightening Dark Side Of Human Ultimate Search For Excitation.
I had seen a poster referring to the latest, frightening movie around. It showed a drill entering the mouth of a poor guy sitting in some kind of torture chamber. Just by seeing the scene on the poster it looked really scary and hard to contemplate, would I dare to watch the movie?… The answer was “yes”. Lately, for some reason, I've been in the mood of watching scary, bloody, movies.

4). “V For Vendetta” The Movie And These Days.
I must confess that the day I watched the trailer of “V For Vendetta” at the movie theater I wasn't any close to be willing to pay a ticket for watching that guy with a funny mask on his face. It seemed to me it would be one more of those simple movies extracted from a not very known “comic” (at least for me) that are appearing in theaters quite often these days.

5). Hellboy Fails to Deliver the Goods
Comic book films are all the rage these days. Ever since movies like X-Men, Blade and Spider-Man conquered the box office, Hollywood execs have been scrambling to mine the latest hot property from the printed page. When done correctly, these films capture the wonder and imagination of their original source material (which is saying a lot). When they fail, as in the case of movies like Electra and The Incredible Hulk, they become bland exercises in mediocrity - something which the boys in Los Angeles are all too familiar with.

6). “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” – Einstein would have loved it!
Einstein would have loved the movie “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” because it is filled with not only imagination, but also time dilation and wormholes that tunnel into distant regions of space and time and black holes and string theory and spacetime curvature…all implicated in his General Theory of Relativity.

7). Horror Movie Screenplays - 10 Steps To Writing A Horror Script
A horror movie has certain rules. If you break too many the audience will be disappointed.
This is a very short, no fluff, blueprint of how to write a horror script.
1. The Hook. Start with a bang. Step right into a suspense scene. ("Scream" opens with a terrifying sequence with Drew Barrymore on the phone with a killer)
2. The Flaw. Introduce your hero.

9). Another Million Dollar Dream
When the itch of literature comes upon a man, the only thing that will relieve it is the scratching of a pen.
A Victorian vicar wrote that and he wasn’t wrong. I’d had the urge to write since I was a young man and I indulged myself from time to time. I scribbled the odd short story, I wrote pornographic letters for a couple of contact magazines, I sent ideas to TV stations, I wrote scripts and I collected a lot of rejections – as most writers do.

11). Dawn of the Dead is a Bloody Good Time
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
Tagline: “When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.”
I’d like to start this review by committing horror movie blasphemy. Ready? Here goes. George Romero’s original three Dead movies are overrated (I’m not even going to comment on the train wreck which is Land of the Dead). While entertaining, they are also low-budget flicks with average acting and pacing about as slow as the shambling zombies depicted therein.

12). Hollywood Celebrities and Pop Culture – The Rape of the Mind
Fame, fortune, and power stand at the top of the heap when it comes to what we call success. Most peculiar of these is fame. It seems the rule, which is rarely spoken out loud is, anyone who is very well known didn’t get that way because they did everything wrong. Oh really! Who hasn’t heard the names of some famous criminals like John Dillinger or Al Capone or John Wayne Gacy? Many of these criminals were even trusted and held hero status in the minds of some people.

13). Movie Review - The Long Goodbye is Gould's Finest Moment
Tagline: "Nothing says goodbye like a bullet."
When I hear the name Elliott Gould, the word "tough-guy" doesn’t immediately spring to mind. No, I tend to think of his roles in films like MASH, Ocean’s Eleven and Capricorn One. So imagine my surprise when I learned that he had played the quintessential detective, Philip Marlowe, in the 1973 film entitled The Long Goodbye.

15). The New Era In Movie Rentals
I recall many years ago when people were saying that movies were a thing of the past, that people would be entertained with the internet and video games. Well, not so! In fact, the movie business (including movie rental) is big business and it's not likely to go away anytime soon.
Let's take a look at the two "500 pound guerillas" in the movie rental business: Netflix and Blockbuster.
