1). Entertaining America – The Staggering Cost in Dollars and Lives
Movies are now produced at costs that rival the gross national product of some small nations. Media including TV, music, internet, games, and casual cell phone use cost as much as it would to feed nearly every person in Africa. But there is another cost that cannot be calculated in dollars.
It seems like a competition between film producers that has no top end.

Wikipedia is an open source encyclopedia, a website where anyone can write and post an article on any topic of their choice. 3). Grier's Almanac: 200 Years of Service
One of my favorite "reads" are almanacs. From the formerly named Information Please almanac to the Old Farmer's Almanac, these handy paperback books contain a wealth of information on virtually any subject, particularly the more generalized tomes such as Information Please.
In November 2005, I visited my locally owned drugstore and found that they had free copies of Grier's Almanac available for customers.

6). Think Young For a Solid Long-Term Business Plan
Rising trends in online marketing, such as social bookmarking sites and blogging, are a direct result of changes in the way young people use the Internet. As more of these alternatives to search engines are developed, traditional SEO will not be as effective. Smart marketers will find a way to identify and capitalize on these trends as soon as possible.

7). The Six Sins of the Wikipedia
(The author was among the first contributors to Nupedia, the Wikipedia's peer-reviewed predecessor,
and spent six years, on and off, studying the Wikipedia)
It is a question of time before the Wikipedia self-destructs and implodes. It poses such low barriers to entry (anyone can edit any number of its articles) that it is already attracting masses of teenagers as "contributors" and "editors", not to mention the less savory flotsam and jetsam of cyber-life.

Recent studies have shown that there are now well over one hundred websites available on the computernet. This puts it second only to ceefax as a useful source of information. Monkey Empire has rounded up the best of these sites, ones which enhance the life of real people like you, not the spotty bearded freaks that you picked on at school for being.
